What is dry needling therapy?
Dry needling is a modern physiotherapy technique in which a very fine, sterile, single-use needle is inserted into a tight band or 'trigger point' in a muscle. This often produces a brief twitch, after which the muscle relaxes, blood flow improves and pain reduces.
It is called 'dry' because no medicine is injected. At MuvAgain, dry needling is performed by a certified dry needling therapist and is always combined with exercise and other physiotherapy for lasting results.

Frequently asked questions
Is dry needling the same as acupuncture?
No. Both use thin needles, but dry needling is based on modern anatomy and targets muscle trigger points, while acupuncture is based on traditional Chinese medicine principles.
Does dry needling hurt?
Most people feel only a quick prick and a brief twitch or ache. Any soreness usually settles within a day or two.
How many dry needling sessions will I need?
Some people feel relief after the first session; most conditions need a few sessions combined with exercise.
What is the difference between cupping and dry needling?
Cupping uses suction to lift and relax a broader area of tight muscle, while dry needling uses a very fine needle to release one specific knot (trigger point). Many patients get both. Read our full comparison: cupping vs dry needling.
How much does dry needling cost in Patna at MuvAgain?
Certified dry needling is ₹499 in addition to the session fee, and is added only when your assessment shows muscle trigger points that need it. See all session and therapy charges.
